Sustainability Certifications
Demonstrate genuine environmental and social responsibility — through product eco-labels, energy management systems, green building ratings, and ethical labour standards that are independently verified.
Core Sustainability Certification Pathways
Sustainability certifications span environmental performance (GreenPro, ISO 14001, ISO 50001) and social responsibility (SA8000, SEDEX SMETA). The right choice depends on your industry, customer requirements, and ESG reporting obligations.
GreenPro Certification
India Green Building Council's product eco-label for building materials used in IGBC and LEED-rated green buildings.
Learn moreISO 50001 — Energy Management
International standard for systematically managing energy use, reducing consumption, and demonstrating measurable energy performance improvement.
Learn moreSocial Accountability — SA8000 & SEDEX
SA8000 certification and SEDEX SMETA audit preparation covering worker rights, labour conditions, health and safety, and ethical employment practices.
Learn moreISO 14001 — Environmental Management
The international standard for environmental management systems — demonstrating controlled environmental impact and legal compliance.
Learn moreIndian Green Rating Systems
Beyond international ISO standards, India has its own established green rating systems for manufacturing facilities and buildings — GreenCo (CII), IGBC/LEED India, and GRIHA. These ratings are increasingly required for government project approvals, ECBC compliance, and sustainable finance.
CII GreenCo Rating
The GreenCo Rating is a comprehensive green rating system for manufacturing companies developed by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). It evaluates factories and industrial plants across five areas: Energy, Water, Waste, Material and its Life Cycle Impact, and Carbon. Companies can achieve GreenCo Certified, Silver, Gold, or Platinum ratings. The GreenCo Rating is distinct from product certifications — it rates the manufacturing unit as a whole. Fusion Certification provides the baseline assessment, gap analysis, and documentation support required to achieve and maintain a GreenCo rating.
IGBC — Indian Green Building Council
The Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), a part of CII, administers LEED India and a suite of India-specific green building rating systems including IGBC Green Homes, IGBC Green Factory, IGBC Green Campus, and IGBC Green Townships. These rating systems align with global LEED v4 requirements but incorporate India-specific energy codes, water regulations, and material standards. Fusion Certification provides pre-certification consultancy — helping project teams select the appropriate rating system, plan documentation, and achieve the targeted credit points before formal IGBC submission.
GRIHA — Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment
GRIHA (Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment) is a national rating system for green buildings developed by TERI (The Energy and Resources Institute) and endorsed by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India. It rates buildings on a star scale of 1 to 5 stars across criteria including site planning, construction management, energy efficiency, water management, indoor environment, and occupant health. GRIHA is the preferred rating system for government buildings and public sector projects in India. Fusion Certification provides pre-certification advisory support, credit documentation preparation, and simulation study coordination.
Organic Certification
Organic certification verifies that agricultural and processed food products meet defined organic production standards — NPOP (India), EU Organic, USDA NOP (US), or Canada Organic. This is relevant to farmers, food processors, and exporters targeting premium organic markets. For full details on organic schemes, eligible crops, livestock, and the organic conversion process, see the dedicated Organic Certification page.
Explore Organic Certification →Why Sustainability Certification?
- ESG reporting requirements from investors, lenders, and listed company obligations.
- International buyer requirements — European importers increasingly mandate environmental and social standards.
- Green building market access — GreenPro enables products to be specified in IGBC/LEED-rated projects.
- Government procurement — public sector tenders increasingly include environmental and social criteria.
- Operational cost savings — ISO 50001 typically drives 5–15% measurable energy cost reductions.
- Sustainable finance — green loans and ESG-linked credit require verifiable sustainability evidence.
Fusion Certification is an independent consultancy providing certification guidance, documentation, implementation and audit-readiness support. Final assessment and certification decisions are made by the relevant independent certification body or scheme authority. GreenCo Rating, IGBC ratings, and GRIHA star ratings are conferred by CII, IGBC, and TERI respectively — not by Fusion.
